My knitting olympics challenge: *gulp*

1 mp3 cover a night uploaded onto my etsy site
ALL my WIPs finished!
[The hardest one..] NO casting on new projects til all WIPs are done AND seamed.

(Who am I trying to convince here!?)

Even harder since I got my beauticious new handpainted yarn today - it's delish! It also smells of vinegar so do I;
wash it now?
or knit it up then wash it AND block it (2 birds, 1 stone and all that)

    OHMYGOD. It's really so weird that you chose me at random to say hello, because

    A. I have been coveting that mohair tube top all week!
    B. Today I showed my coworker Etsy for the first time and YOUR COSY was one of the first things I saw!

    It's a small world. I think I will make that top in the round, so I don't have to seam it. Lastly, I love the vinegar smell so I leave it, but I'm told that weakens the yarn.

    i'm so impressed that you're finishing your WIPs as your olympic event. mine are out of control, but of course i chose to cast on yet another project. haha.

A bit of culture...

Well we're back in rainy Glasgow, and I think I'm sufficiently recovered from jetlag enough to be able to operate a PC, string a sentence together and complete my Japan blogging. Just in case you thought we'd spent our entire time playing in yarn shops, arcades and eating - a bit of culture was also had. These pics are from the Meiji shrine and surrounding Yoyogi Park. The top pic is a big pond full of koi karp, terrapins and massive dragonflies. We had our lunch there - it was very peaceful and relaxing. The above picture was the dwarfing entrance to the shrine. We walked around the gardens and had lunch but we never visited the shrine itself. [It was a Saturday so fairly busy and really humid hot, so we were looking for a bit of peace from the crowds.] This was me walking in the park - I used my umbrella to shade myself from the sun, but on this occasion it was up despite being in the shade ... due to the massive spiders that lurked. I thought I would make a new post to respond to a comment left in my last post. I had posted this: " I'm Scottish, but due to moving around a lot when I was young I have an English accent. I don't like my accent at all - this is not to say that I think there is anything wrong with being English, but I'm Scottish, and it bugs me that I always sound like a visitor to my own country. " I dithered about posting this in the first place, because I was anxious that it would come off in a bad light. Central Park Hoodie

I can't believe it's Friday already. I've been trying to blog this since Monday, but Blogger and a cold have combined forces to make sure that it didn't happen until today. Thanks for comments and emails re; oiled yarn. Sorry I didn't hear you at the SECC Heather - I may have been a little delirious after having bought all that yarn! See this is why I do the SECC alone - I'm utterly unsociable when there are crafty delights all around begging to be purchased. Cheers Heather - I would love to get any help that anyone can give me on yarn goodies to be had in Tokyo, and also to see steeking 'live'. I have finally finished the back, 2 sides and 2 sleeves for Central Park Hoodie. Blocking was required in order to seam the shoulders and join front and back pieces for the hood.
