Cotton Crochet Market Bag

Finished!
Pattern: Free - Bernat Cotton Crochet Market Market
Yarn: Bernat Handicrafter Cotton 3 balls
Skills learnt: All of it - brand new to crochet.
Modifications: The strap originally went the other way, but I felt tote-style made it lie better - it just felt twisted the other way [see pattern link]

I'll be taking this with me to Japan as it expands and therefore can fit lots of yarn.
Not an awful lot else to say really... I'll let the pictures speak for themselves.

  2. You're right - you're my knitting/blogging twin! Holy cow!! I want to go back in your blog to see what else we've done in common but I don't have time today. Another day.
After my CPH was finished I needed a break from big projects for awhile so my pinwheel yarn is waiting patiently for me for now. I hope to start on it this August. I'll be fervently posting to the KAL at that point I'm sure.
Stay in touch...this is a lot of fun! (and have a wonderful time in Japan!)

  6. Is this really your first crochet project? It is awesome and I love the green with those hot, firey colours.

  8. I love your bag! The colours are so bright and summery.

I have loved working with the Handmaiden silk lace. It's a little sticky but has a beautiful drape and sheen. Victorian Lace Today is one of my favorite lace books, there are tons of simple and elegant designs that should work nicely with the yarn.

Can't wait to see what you decide to use if for.

  9. Bag looks fab! I shall persevere with my wimpy crochet edging and work up to a bag.
Can't believe you've ordered the yarn for Pinwheel sweater already - I'm going to order tomorrow!! So excited.
