I'm still feeling pooey but I am ignoring it - I made these this evening [with packet mix but I'm proud!] I had to pick all the dark chocolate chips out of the mix [migraines] and add milk chocolate chips instead ...

I'm just about to continue with my sock - but first I need to finish my Secret Pal 8 questionnaire - I noticed that the TwelfthKnit has completed hers - A+ [humpf!] :)

Many thanks to my well-wishers - am still undecided whether this is hayfever or a cold but it is not impeding any longer upon my knitting!

Oh well - back to the knitty homework ...

    Also I am an angel for a disapointed SP7-er and I bought some of the paper yarn today in a lovely rich aubergine.

    Bella sleeves (for lack of a better way to get the info to you)... you might want to check out Seltsame's blog on this http://seltsame.livejournal.com/... she has frogged her sleeves and reblocked them trying to get them to fit. I'm planning to block like crazy (once I get more darn yarn, since I'm running out!).

    As for Barcelona, that shop Barcelana is ABSOLUTELY worth visiting! I wish I had bought more of two of their yarns, because I've since realized I don't have enough and it's awfully hard for me to drop in for more ;)

A bit of culture...

Well we're back in rainy Glasgow, and I think I'm sufficiently recovered from jetlag enough to be able to operate a PC, string a sentence together and complete my Japan blogging. Just in case you thought we'd spent our entire time playing in yarn shops, arcades and eating - a bit of culture was also had. These pics are from the Meiji shrine and surrounding Yoyogi Park. The top pic is a big pond full of koi karp, terrapins and massive dragonflies. We had our lunch there - it was very peaceful and relaxing. The above picture was the dwarfing entrance to the shrine. We walked around the gardens and had lunch but we never visited the shrine itself. [It was a Saturday so fairly busy and really humid hot, so we were looking for a bit of peace from the crowds.] This was me walking in the park - I used my umbrella to shade myself from the sun, but on this occasion it was up despite being in the shade ... due to the massive spiders that lurked. I thought I would make a new post to respond to a comment left in my last post. I had posted this: " I'm Scottish, but due to moving around a lot when I was young I have an English accent. I don't like my accent at all - this is not to say that I think there is anything wrong with being English, but I'm Scottish, and it bugs me that I always sound like a visitor to my own country. Central Park Hoodie

I can't believe it's Friday already. I've been trying to blog this since Monday, but Blogger and a cold have combined forces to make sure that it didn't happen until today. Thanks for comments and emails re; oiled yarn. Sorry I didn't hear you at the SECC Heather - I may have been a little delirious after having bought all that yarn! See this is why I do the SECC alone - I'm utterly unsociable when there are crafty delights all around begging to be purchased. Cheers Heather - I would love to get any help that anyone can give me on yarn goodies to be had in Tokyo, and also to see steeking 'live'. I have finally finished the back, 2 sides and 2 sleeves for Central Park Hoodie. Blocking was required in order to seam the shoulders and join front and back pieces for the hood.
